Here's one way to return to simple living. I have decided to make some of my own homemade products for my family to use such as mouthwash. The items used are natural and provide a wide variety of heath benefits, which is very important to me as a wife and mother. Not to mention, making DIY products are most often low cost over all and fun to make. Try it for yourself and reap the benefits of all natural, homemade products!

Here is the recipe we are using in our home and loving for a natural mouthwash:

Ingredients:

1 cup filtered, bottled, distilled or mineral water (if you are using tap water, boil it first)

1 tsp raw honey

1 tsp baking soda

4 drops peppermint essential oil

4 drops lemon essential oil

4 drops melaleuca essential oil

1 packet Stevia sweetner (optional)

Mix all ingredients together in glass bottle or jar.

Swish in mouth and rinse. Do not swallow.

Recipe lasts about one week, no need to refrigerate.

Shake before each use, use daily.
